One Pinktober FAQs
Pinktober 2024 will feature:
- Our annual ‘Let’s Move for A Cause’ Pinktober Cancer Awareness Walk on October 27, starting at 6 am from the Everest Cricket Ground.
- And, of course, we are encouraging everyone, our staff and the public, to wear pink every Friday throughout October to show support for cancer survivors, fighters, and those whose lives have been affected by the disease
Pinktober 2024's theme is “Many Hearts, One Fight.” It underscores the collective efforts of One Communications, corporate partners, NGOs whom we call our Champions of Hope, and the general public in combating cancer. The campaign aims to spread awareness while providing necessary resources for cancer care.
The Champions of Hope are a group of NGOs collaborating with One Communications to provide cancer support. This includes the Beacon Foundation, Guyana Cancer Society, Giving Hope Foundation, Cancer Institute of Guyana, Debra Shipley George Go Care Foundation, Recover Guyana, and The Periwinkle Club Inc.
